At less than 500 square feet, this tiny pool house lives large. The fully functioning kitchen is part of an open plan adjacent to a sitting area.

Between the kitchen and sitting area is a small hallway that leads to a guest bedroom, bathroom, and laundry closet. There is a loft above the kitchen that is accessed from a ship’s ladder in the sitting area. We decided to continue the Travertine tiles that surround the pool into the pool house as it will stand up to wet foot traffic. The walls are lined with antique tobacco barn boards for a rustic look. Kitchen cabinets were painted a light gray to brighten the small space. Two sets of French doors open to the pool patio and pavilion. The pavilion acts as a second, larger sitting room, complete with wood-burning fireplace. There is even an outdoor grilling station nearby. This pool house is the perfect setting for a party but is also comfortable enough to house overnight guests.
